The T1/E1 to ethernet converter is a single port T1 or E1 with Ethernet Bridging that provides high-speed LAN-to-WAN connectivity.
Ethernet over T1 converter is an Ethernet extension device utilizing TDM telecom infrastructure (of T1, DS3, SDH or microwave links carrying T1s ). It converts the Ethernet data into T1 frame format for transmission over the existing TDM (T1) links and then re-converts the T1 back into Ethernet data the far-end terminal, to BRIDGE two Ethernet LANs over the existing T1-based telecom network. The device can effectively utilize the existing TDM network to transport Ethernet data with low investment.
The device support two protocol E1 and T1,can used as ethernet over T1 converter or ethernet over E1 converter.It is collocated with E1/HDB3 or T1/B8ZS as line interface, E1 can be either framed N*64Kbps (N=1-31) or unframed 2048Kbps, which are also known as channelization and unchannelization. Under the framed mode, it supports options of CAS/CCS (30 & 31 time slot), and CRC4 auto-adapt. T1 connects remote LAN through fully transparent unframed 1.544Mbps bandwidth. Transmission clock can be recovered from receiving signal G.703 lines and also can work in internal clock mode.
